People at the workshop Deliberative Democracy: Connecting Research and Practice are asking for your thoughts on developments in deliberative democracy and key research questions. They welcome input from the C2D2 community and we hope you will send them your good thoughts.
A fascinating meeting on the future of democratic governance will be taking place this week in Sydney, Australia - and you can participate (without making the 20-hour plane flight!).
Join the participants at http://bit.ly/eggP8V - or by using the Twitter hashtag #delibworkshop - and share your thoughts on the following questions:
People who are physically at the meeting will be reading your contributions, and making their own, starting on Tuesday in the late afternoon Eastern time (Wednesday morning in Sydney).

Later in the week, there will also be a process by which you can vote on which of the research proposals developed at the meeting should receive funding.
Dr. Lyn Carson of the University of Western Sydney is the driving force behind the meeting, which is supported by Australia’s Newdemocracy Foundation. Ron Lubensky of the Centre for Citizenship and Public Policy has spearheaded
the online elements of the gathering.
Hope to see you online -
