Canadian School of Peacebuilding

Date:
June 29, 2009 - July 10, 2009
Location:
Canadian Mennonite University in Winnipeg, Manitoba

This is the inaugural year for the Canadian School of Peacebuilding. The school comes out a dream of creating an energizing place where practitioners, students, and scholars from around the world and from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds can respectfully gather together to deepen their practices of peacebuilding. The Canadian School of Peacebuilding will offer courses from local, national and international peacebuilders which will benefit a wide range of NGOs, practitioners and learners of peace. We call the peacebuilders of the world to come and join and help shape this dynamic learning community.

This first annual Canadian School of Peacebuilding will be held at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) in Winnipeg, MB, June 29 to July 10, 2009. Two 5-day sessions, each with two courses running concurrently, will be offered for academic credit or for training for practitioners.

The CSOP is a learning community of diverse peacebuilders who come together to learn, network and engage in peacebuilding. This requires respect, curiosity and a broad range of connecting points for both students and faculty.

C2D2 wishes the CSOP great success in its premiere.
